Happy Christmas!

We have had a very exciting week this week! Our first party was held on Tuesday afternoon, followed by a visit to the Pantomime for some of our older children on Wednesday. We then had another party today - with a very special visitor!

Father Christmas came to school and brought lots of presents with him! The nursery children couldn't wait to get back to nursery and open theirs . . .

Look at what we got!

This is what some of the children said about their party:

Milena - "I liked the dancing. I liked the food!"

Jack - "The party games!"

Bailey - "When we were dancing - when you paused it" (The music)

Oliver PS - "We saw Father Christmas - he gived the presents to the children"

Evie - "Father Christmas says 'Ho, Ho, Ho'!"

Archie - "The food was nice"

This is what Evan E likes about Christmas . . .
"Santa comes, because he gives presents"

Also Esme . . .
"Father Christmas gives us presents and goes through the chimney!"

And finally Harry . . .
"Getting some presents!"

Puppet John is going to have lots of fun playing on our new rocking horse during the holiday before the children return!

We would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful new year. We will see you again in 2014!

Happy Christmas everybody.

The countdown to Christmas begins!

There have been some very excited children in Nursery this week!

After they had helped to decorate the Christmas Tree, we thought about the gift that the children would have taken for Baby Jesus if they had been able to go and visit him in the stable.
Here a just a few of their ideas:

Oliver S - "A muffin - I think he's hungry!"

Jessica - "A princess"

Harley - "A baby dragon"

Violet - "A Christmas Tree"

Gethin - "A baby sister!"

We thought all their ideas were great - what would you have chosen for your gift to take?

The children have also been very busy making their lovely decorations to hang on the tree and cards to give to their loved ones   . . .

Now we are all looking forward to our Nativity play next week!

Leafy Christmas Wreaths

We have had a lovely sunny Wellie Wednesday. We discussed the  traditions of celebrating Christmas. Some of the children told us they have Christmas wreaths on their front doors at Christmas? Did you know what they symbolize ?.....
eternal life, peace, joy and happiness

We had a go at making our own leafy Christmas wreaths.  We had fun collecting all the colourful autumn leaves before carefully sticking them on our wreaths.

Take a look. What do you think?

Do you have a Christmas wreath on your front door?
