Looking after Grandma!

Little Red Riding Hood took some special treats in her basket for Grandma.
We have been making some delicious cookies for our special treat . . .
Measuring out the ingredients
Mixing it all together
Getting ready to eat them!
We decided that Little Red Riding Hood should take some healthy treats for Grandma next time she went to visit her, so we have helped her with her shopping list . . .

We think these are much better baskets to help Grandma get better and stay healthy!

What's your favourite type of healthy food?

Little Red Riding Hood!

Rather than focusing on a specific author for this term, we are going to be sharing a range of traditional tales, and we have started with the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

A Frosty Morning!

It was very cold when we arrived for
Nursery on Monday!
We talked about the weather and what the children had noticed during their
journey to school.
After wrapping up nice and warm, we went for a walk in the school grounds to see how beautiful everywhere looked . . .

"It's cold and slippery!"
(as we walked along the path)
"Crunchy!"
(the leaves and the grass under our feet)

"Frosty!"
"Sparkles!"

What other signs of Winter have you noticed recently?

Bouncebackability!

The focus for our Darwin Values Award this
half-term is BOUNCEBACKABILITY.

We hope the following will help to
explain it further . . .

Bouncebackability from huntytelford

We are all going to try and show 'bouncebackability' throughout the term ahead!

As we embark on the term ahead, the children have been thinking about New Year resolutions and have each made a 'promise' to help to keep our Nursery a safe and happy place to be.

Here are a small selection:

My New Year Promise for 2018 is . . .

"Look after children in the Nursery" - Sammy O

"Be kind and gentle" - Evie

"Not run inside" - Toby

"Share the toys" - Christopher

We are all going to help each other to keep our promises!

Have you made any New Year Resolutions?
We would love to hear what
they are - let us know!
