Kung Hei Fat Choi!

We have been finding out about
Chinese New Year . . .
As 2017 is the Year of the Rooster we all did a handprint to add to our collaborative rooster's tail for our display!

Throughout the week we have also been counting the coins in our lucky red envelopes, writing good luck messages in Chinese and creating our own interpretations of the Chinese Willow Pattern.

We came to Nursery dressed in red or gold.
It was great fun trying to eat our beansprouts and noodles with chopsticks!

Amelia brought in some Chinese books
to share with us.
We had a go at counting to five in Chinese!

Do you like our dancing dragon? We went around school wishing everyone a
Happy New Year!

You can find out more about Chinese New Year by watching the following video clips:

How will you be celebrating Chinese New Year?
We would love you to get in touch and
let us know!

  1. Lovely pictures. Skylars Nanny Di and Aunty Fay are roosters in the Chinese New Year.
