Ladybirds and Butterflies

We have been very creative over the last couple weeks in our Wellie Wednesday  sessions. We have painted ladybirds on pebbles and have created beautiful butterflies inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. Did you know there are over 46 species of ladybirds in the UK? We went on a ladybird hunt and used our ID charts to identify which kind of ladybirds we found.  These included several 7 spotted, an Adonis, a Harlequins, and some Eyed ladybirds. Jacob was our champion ladybird hunter finding a total of 16!
