Big Yellow Friday!

As some of you may know, one of the children currently in our nursery was born with liver disease and had a transplant two years ago.
Children's Liver Disease Foundation is a unique national charity that takes action against the effects of childhood liver disease.
They provide information, emotional support, research funding and a voice for all affected.
Now in its eighth year, Big Yellow Friday takes place on the first Friday in March. Thousands of people across the UK hold fun yellow-themed events to raise vital funds and awareness.

Here are some of the activities we have been doing to help raise some money . . .

Wearing something yellow

Going on a 'Yellow Treasure Hunt' - we had to find the yellow objects and look at the yellow number on the elephant to match it to the corresponding numeral on our recording sheet . . .

Can you work out where we found these yellow treasures?

It was lots of fun selecting from a range of yellow collage for our elephants, and then creating a frame for them . . .
Here are just a few - don't they look great!

We were very grateful to all the parents that donated cakes and biscuits for our sale . . .

And of course, we had some nice healthy 'yellow' fruit with our milk!

We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents, children and staff that worked so hard to make our fund raising a success - and as a result we have been able to donate a fantastic £203.40 to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation.
Well done everyone!
