The children really enjoyed making their bread just like the Little Red Hen did in her story.
This week, we have been reading another book about animals and food - but this time, it was about porridge and bears!
Lottie knew a bit about the story already and told us - "Goldilocks went in the bears house and she ate all the porridge and she broke the chairs."
After we had read the book, we talked about how the bears might have been feeling and Alfie said - "Angry and sad - because she broke the chair."
The children have been enjoying looking at the story again during their self-initiated sessions:
We watched and listened to an alternative version of the story (Fimbles - Three Bears - CBeebies) and Harley noticed straight away that the ending was different!
