Welcome back to everybody following the Easter break!
As always, the term ahead is going to be a very busy one.
We are starting with a focus on gardening and have been talking to the children to find out what they know already about plants and flowers . . .
Maisy - "I water the plants for my nanny to make them grow. It wets them"
Ava - "There's petals on flowers. There's some things in the middle"
Jasmine - "We need some seeds and we need to wait"
Harley - "They grow"
Evan E - "The sun makes them grow"
Alfie - "Birds try to eat the seeds and we have to build a scarecrow to make them go away"
Reece - "Trees grow big and big and big!"
We then asked them what they would like to find out . . .
Ember - "I want to find out about how they grow" (Flowers)
Georgia - "Why do apples grow on trees?"
Oliver E - How do plants drink?"
Daisy - "How do vegetables grow?"
Oliver S - "Why do conkers have a wrapper on top?"
Violet - "How do flowers eat?"
Esme - "Do flowers have feet?"
We thought these were some super questions - what would you have asked?
Those are some great questions!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet Esme, what a lovely question :-)
